CHEMICAL PEELS

A chemical peel involves the use of chemicals to peel a layer of skin to exfoliate and regenerate skin. The new skin is less wrinkled and smoother. It can be used on the face, neck, back and other parts of the body.

There are superficial or lunchtime peels, medium peels and deep peels.

Chemical peels can be used for acne scars, aging skin, age spots, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, melasma, crow’s feet.

You may experience a burning sensation lasting for five to ten minutes. A cold compress maybe applied to decrease discomfort.

You should avoid the sun for a certain amount of time.
